Die Mas van Kakamas Vineyards

Die Mas offers 4 fully equipped self-catering chalets. The setting for the chalets are perfect for enjoying scenic strolls along the mighty Orange River or getting some fresh air amongst the vineyards.

Each of these quaint cottages has its own kitchen, bedroom and en-suite bathroom. Air conditioning is a must for summers in Kakamas, therefore each unit has a built in air conditioner as well as a DSTV guest house package.

Chalet 1: Family Chalet – Sleeps 4 (R1500 per night for 4 people)

• Chalet with a queensize bed with luxury duvet and premium linen.
• Bunk beds in living area
• On-suite bathroom with shower.
• Extra bathroom with shower
• Equipped kitchenette with double plate cooker, refrigerator, microwave, kettle, toaster and all essential cutlery and crockery.
• Inside & outside eating areas and braai area outside.
• Aircon in the bedroom and DSTV (selected channels) in the chalet.
• Daily housekeeping and access to use camp amenities.

Chalet 2: Standard Chalet – Self Catering – Sleeps 2 – R400 pp per night

• Chalet with a Double bed with luxury duvet and premium linen.
• On-suite bathroom with shower
• Equipped kitchenette with double plate cooker, refrigerator, microwave, kettle, toaster, and all essential cutlery and crockery.
• Inside & outside eating areas and braai area outside.
• Aircon in the bedroom and DSTV (selected channels) in the chalet
• Daily housekeeping and access to use camp amenities

Chalet 3: Standard Chalet – Self Catering – Sleeps 3 – R400 pp per night

• Chalet with a Double bed with luxury duvet and premium linen.
• On-suite bathroom with shower
• Single bed in living area.
• Equipped kitchenette with double plate cooker, fridge freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster, and all essential cutlery and crockery.
• Inside & outside eating areas and braai area outside.
• Aircon in the bedroom and DSTV (selected channels) in the chalet
• Daily housekeeping and access to use camp amenities

Chalet 4: Luxury Family Chalet – Self Catering – Sleeps 7 – (R1600 per night for 4 people)

• Chalet with 2 bedrooms with luxury duvets and premium linen.
• Bedroom no 1 has a Queen size bed  & on-suite bathroom with shower.
• Bedroom no 2 have a Queen size bed and bunk bed.
• Extra single bed in living room.
• Additional bathroom with shower for guests from Bedroom no 2 and extra guests.
• Equipped open kitchenette in living room with double plate cooker, fridge freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster, and all essential cutlery and crockery.
• Inside & outside eating areas and braai area outside.
• Aircon in the bedroom and DSTV (selected channels) in the chalet
• Daily housekeeping and access to use camp amenities

Please Note: During November & December it is our packing season which means our Lapa bar & restaurant (located next to the chalets) is operational on Saturday nights only from 18:00 – 2:00 and has loud music during this time which may be disturbing. By booking over a Saturday during these months, please keep this in mind as no refunds may be demanded for Lapa related disturbances.

Terms & Conditions (Cancellations):

Please note that the following T&C’s are applicable for all accommodation:

To secure your stay, a 50% deposit will be required and will secure your desired dates, chalets and stay with us.
In the event of premature departure we may charge for the full original booking.
Cancellation 0 – 3 days before date of arrival, or no-show – visitor forfeits 100% of deposit paid.
Cancellation 4 – 7 days before date of arrival – visitor forfeits 75% of deposit paid.
Cancellation 8 – 15 days before date of arrival – visitor forfeits 50% of deposit paid.
Cancellation 15+ days before date of arrival – visitor will receive a 100% of deposit refund excluding a 5% administration cancellation fee.

On receipt of a written instruction to cancel the reservation, we shall refund the applicable amount as determined by the cancellation terms of the establishment, within 7 calendar days.  Administrative fees of 5% will be charged on any refunds processed.
