Die Mas van Kakamas Vineyards

The family business humbly started with two full time employees and today we are proud to call hundreds of workers a part of Die Mas Farm Family. We provide both seasonal and permanent employment for a large community of people in South Africa’s poorest regions.

Investing in our local talent and developing their strengths and skills is very important to us. Throughout the years we have been blessed with generations of exceptional families who have been a part of our dynamic team. We have provided them with the necessary training, confidence and support to deliver excellent work and take pride in their roles and duties. It is truly important to have good people to make a business run efficiently and professionally.

The concept we practice is to empower our farm workers who grew up on the farm, who have worked for the farm the longest and helped in building the farm up to where we are today. We want them to use the knowledge and skills learned through training to invest in their own future for them and their families. For those new to the farm we, strive to make all our people feel safe and uplift in their careers, lifestyles and surroundings as much as we can.

We encourage and support the team both personally and professionally and occasionally spoil them by transporting them to sporting events and other social activities. They also have access to spiritual counselling resources as needed. We believe if your staff love what they do, they will go the extra mile for you and because we are such a close family farm community we are devoted to their happiness in return.
